Symbol of Renewal and Transformation
The Chambered Nautilus is a fossil over 500 million years old. The interior of the shell consists of a series of chambers that continue to grow larger to accommodate the sea creature that lives inside. The creature lives for a time in one chamber and when it has outgrown that space, it creates a new one. The creature must keep building new chambers as long as it lives. It cannot go back to the previous ones because they no longer fit and it cannot stay in its present space or it will die. To survive, it must keep growing.
